Absent

Today we read and analyzed a poem by Langston Hughes. Then we independently answered 12 questions based on the poem. The poem was about a mother speaking to her child about how life is not hard however it can be difficult. I took that you literally can not give up in life unless you die so you should make it the best you can. I enjoyed reading this poem.

Absent

Today we read “The Negro Speaks of Rivers” by Langston Hughes and answered questions based on the poem. Instead of doing this assignment independently we went through it as a class. I really like this way of analyzing peoms. I find putting multiple peoples minds together to figure out something like a poem helps you see different interpretations and see things you wouldn’t on your own. Today, was good because I finished all my welding tests for my 1050 class.

Today we read chapter 8 and did a common lit based on what we read. We had a sub so we all just did the assignment independently. I was relieved because this assignment was quite easy! I wasn’t happy with the outcome of the super bowl. CHIEFS🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮

Today we presented our projects. Mine went very although my whole project didn’t upload when I submitted it. The 6 slides I did get to present well well though. I enjoyed seeing what other people thought their character may have in their trash. Today I had a very good workout in the morning and for the most part had a good presentation so it has been a good day. 

Today we were supposed to present our projects but not enough people turned them in so we worked on our projects and missing work. I wanted to get my press out of the way so it was a bummer not everyone turned it in. However, I had to get checked out anyway early so I wasn’t in class for very long. In the time I was at school I started the MLK speech assignment i’ve had missing. Today I had a good day because I got to go to a concert to my favorite band Treaty Oak Revival.

Today we began class with questions related to black history. Then we did an assignment with questions about chapter 7 of The Great Gatsby. I learned that Denzel Washington was the second African American to win an Acadeny Award (1989) for best actor since 1927. I personally wish the time in the beginning was a little shorter because I didn’t have enough time to finish my assighnment and I had an unexpected test in 7th period so I had no time to do the last question I needed to do to turn it in on time. Today was a very stressful day for me however I am ahead in my welding class wish is a relief.

Today we we're introduced on the mini project we have to do on the Great Gatsby. This project doesn’t seem to hard however I am not looking forward to it. I do like how we are given the option to pick out of three options what our presentation is going to be. There wasn’t much of a lesson today but I liked the way Mr. Rease explained our project and I am very clear on what we need to do for it. Today was a good day because I made my own breakfast, went to the gym and ate lunch all before coming to school.

 Today we had a sub and worked on an assignment on chapter 6. The assignment was long and hard. I didn’t like this type of independent long assignment. I didn’t have a great day today but welding this morning was okay.
